Rubbing Elbows With the Big Dogs
It must be a sign of the kind of clout the BTB contributors carry down at Rockies Spring Training. A very wise usher instinctively knew TD should be sent right to the 1st row when I asked if I could go sit in some curiously unoccupied seats at Monday's Cactus League game with the D-Backs. A couple minutes after taking my seat, the Cowboy himself, Tracy Ringolsby of the Rocky Mountain News came down to compare notes with myself on how the game was going and the state of the Rockies in general. Trace obviously recognized me as a peer in the media and said he looked forward to seeing me cover games this summer at Coors. While I might already process the knowledge and insights of mainstream media types covering the Rockies, I have a little ways to go to match the gut the Cowboy has crafted over the years. Hats off (no pun intended), my new friend and colleague. While I might not be in your league yet, if I continue on my 4 large stadium brews per Rockies game pace, I will be giving your belly a run for its money in no time.

wait. i thought this site was going to have animated dancing Dingers.
I'm working on that.
And how about some floating Hurdle heads??
I failed to make mention of how many comments I heard about the Hurdle's Heros t-shirt I wore 2 of 3 days. It would've been 3-3, but the amount of sweating going on in it for 2 days was a little ridiculous. Curious if it will garner as much love at Coors this summer. Especially when combined with a Casper Ghosts hat.
Speaking of Dinger, he was curiously absent from Spring Training. It is almost like Spring Training was thinking about maybe going no Dinger. In general, it seemed like there was a lot of no Dinger going on in Tucson.
very glad the T-shirt got some love down there.
depending on the success trajectory of this season you could get similar love at Coors, or you could be found fatally shot in a dumpster behind Swanky's.
Dancing Dingers, Floating Hurdle heads, Swanky's...am I in heaven? How do I become a Hurdle's Hero? Much love to the BSB. Riggins will be rolling through Denver this summer and would love to be in attendance on 6/19 with ST, TD, and DT. Oh did I mention I got the first of 4+ rounds of stadium brews!
Great coverage guys. Sure is nice being able to follow my favorite baseball team when I live over 1,000 miles away! Keep up the good work.
The interest alone will bury ya...
The new avatar is quite sick CL.
Sorry you couldn't join us in Tucson, Riggins/CL. Future years....it is quite fun.
I think I'm going to walk down and pick up my 25-game ticket package at the Coors box office this afternoon. I don't like! Will see if I have anything on 6/19. If not, we'll scare some tickets up from the usual suspects outside.
C'mon here you little peckerhead!!
the Hurdle Head floats....
The floating Hurdle is awesome. The sky is the limit for BSB.
By the way, I am now in pocession of my 25-game ticket plan. As if I wasn't already amped for the season to start! Even had to walk by Swanky's (upper level sidewalk) on my way back to work....Nice work with the site DT.
