Weak
Well, 1-4 isn't quite the start the Rocks were looking for. Pretty lame game all around. Francis was quite hittable and Kip Wells remembered he was Kip Wells. A pitcher should probably be able to throw a ball to home plate with some accuracy. Looking at the batting averages on the JumboTron, it's obvious this team is hitting like a bunch of pansies. Helton aside, no one is "putting the barrel" on the ball, as our fearless leader Clint likes to say. I know it's early and probably not time to make drastic moves, but I would be in favor of putting Pods in CF and Barmes at 2B. At least for a couple of games....

Can we sign Mia Farrow to hit leadoff? Pitch? Anything?
A loss tomorrow would be devastating.
I know "it's early!" "162 games in a season!" but what the fuck...this is really beginning to make last year look mighty flukey. The bats WILL come around, (hurry with that please) but the pitching just looks exposed for being downright fortunate, if not lucky, in '07.
You won't win many games with what we've seen on the mound so far. By the looks of it so far, we will be battling it out with the Giants for NL West cellar-rights. The Dodgers, Padres, and (now thanks to the Rox) the D'Backs have shown they are ready to play in '08.
It's a shame to overshadow the goodtime, "we're the 2007 NL Champs!!!" homestand we've got going right now, but these past two games have been straight-up blowouts in baseball parlance.
Someone better do something. I'm about to quit caring about 2007 really quickly.
How about a multiple run inning, fellas? I'm not counting the one Glaus-error aided one either.
some pretty pathetic team records being broken with this shitty start.
least runs scored in the first 5 games of a season, 8. shattering the previous low of 16. great work guys...
