I can't believe I'm clamoring for Roof Top to be put in at 2nd, but Barmey has been complete garbage at the plate lately. It was somewhat possible to overlook the lingering slump, considering he's been playing pretty sweet D, but even that was suspect tonight when he booted what should have been a double play. Throw in six LOB from Barmes alone (not to mention a collective lack of clutch hitting in this series so far) and you got a pretty shitty night.
Don't like the look of this roadie at all so far. It's reminiscent of the '08 / early '09 Rockies. And with Santana going tomorrow, things don't get any easier. At least Tracy got booted after a really horrible call at the plate. I hope that provides some inspiration.....

True, the rest of the team seems to have issues with LOB too, but Barmes was, unfortunately for him, in the spotlight with the bases loaded a couple times tonight.
Shutouts suck. Someone better get fired up in the CITI clubhouse...
Could have used Barmes's late inning HBP a little earlier in the game.
Yeah, lean into that shit slumper. Two game losing streaks will happen, but the way these have happened is a little concerning. The only redeeming part of this evening is the A's 9th inning and comeback and then extra inning victory over the Sawwks.
