The dude is living up to the nickname I was hearing during his A's days... The Car-Go moniker is more popular and fashionable apparently....but Jesus H Christ, Carlos is on a Home Run, baseballs being sent "gone", rampage.
Love this quote from Tracy before tonight's game. "Carlos Gonzalez is doing some serious damage offensively right now." No shit, dude.
Some love to Barmes due as well, he was able to tack one on we didn't know we needed, until Street made things all kinds of dicey. He hasn't looked sharp lately.
Ubaldo? Fairly magnificent besides the early innings...
THE WILD CARD is just nuts....SF and the Marlins get their wins as well. Braves lose. Time to seperate the wheat from the chaff, I guess...though in my mind all teams besides the Rox are chaff, so technically unwanted. Don't get me started on the ancient process of winnowing...

I was in the car restocking my MHHL stock for the last few innings, but it sounds like Barmes made a pretty key defensive play in the bottom of the 7th too. Made it home to see the last two AB's (while filling beer drawer). Damn, Street has been dicey lately. That last out looked like it was torched off the bat.
Mad props to Ubaldo and C-Gone. Fuck yeah, love seeing him leading off. Apparently Dex loves hitting second too. And yes, the Wild Card is fucking nuts. Need to run the table against the Nats.
Was the MHLL restocking done at Applejack? Last time I was there the cupboard was bare.
As a matter of fact, it was. It looked like the supply was pretty lean. In fact, as I approached the normally healthy stacks, I didn't see the Light at first and was terrified.
Oh no. I'll be rolling the dice tonight....
ah...stacks were high.
settling into tonight's Game 2, like the score so far 3-1, Rockies. But I must remark that the lack of Hi-Def two nights in a row is lame.
No Hi-Def = Lame. Too much LOB = Lame. Who does Stewbag think he is? Barmey? Let's pick up MarqDog after a rough 5th.
Might as well just re-post the C-Gon love. Another sketchy win (what up Street and LOB??), but the Rocks still manage to get the job done. Marq-Dog gets W #14 and Rocks keep pace with the Giants. It could be on at Coors this weekend.
Despite Street's sketchiness, it's worth noting that the game winning HR and the save are both credited to players brought over in the trade for Matty.
3 1/2 back of the Dodgers?!?! With the whacky nature of the wild card, it's nice to be at least within striking range of the west. Bet not many people were thinking the wild card would come out of the west at the start of the year, but that's starting to look like a strong possibility, if we don't beat up on each other too much down the stretch.
The NL West mocking seems sort of foolish at this point...
Gotta make the NL West close just to talk some trash to Dominico.
