Rockies Spring Training Action on ESPN?

I was a bit floored to learn that the Rockies-Cubs Cactus League game this afternoon was going to be televised not only on FSN, but also in HD on "The Deuce". Whaaahh?? Granted it was against the Cubs, which probably garnered the interest of ESPN programmers in the first place. Still, for a team that was televised on Sunday Night Baseball zero times last year, seeing the Rockies on the World Wide Leader's stage was a bit surreal. Not only that, but the post-game Baseball Tonight crew did an extended analysis on the upcoming Rockies season during their NL West preview. Guess Hurdle's squad has a little clout now, having gone to the Fall Classic. I believe they are only scheduled for one Sunday Night game on ESPN this season, but anything above zero is an improvement.

Although I only caught a bit of the game, it looked like Mark Redman had a good start today. I'm penciling him in to one of the final openings in the starting rotation. He might be a suitable #5 once Hirsh comes back to fill the #4 role. After Morales' struggles yesterday, I think he might be best served by starting the season in the Springs. 9 days to go...

in HD?!?!?!

Nice little victory actually...
almost pulled to .500 on the Spring now.
Bring on the season. I'm ready. (even if some of our pitchers don't appear to be.)

Been meaning to ask, what exactly does Cannes Film Festival Jury prize winner, Persepolis have to do with the Rockies, by the way?

Yes, in HD. So rare to see any Cactus League action in HD. Grapefruit League...more common.

Rox providing a pretty nice offensive explosion here today against the Snakes.

I hate'em and they stink!!

But I was able to catch some action against my beloved Brew-Crew (BSB in genearl loves the Brew Crew). It sounded like there were like 7 guys in the booth with Fraz and Goodman doing the game with the Brewers Fox Sports soys.

It would have been nice to see Jimenez have a better outing, but the Rox continued to crush the ball (even without Helton and Holiday).

War the 5 snake games I already have tickies for.
