Hey David. Let's not forget about the starting pitching too.

I could do without the slugfest loss. At home. To lose a series. To a division rival.
Down by 6 runs, then up by 5, and then lose. Weak.

Enjoy your NL West Cali road trip Rockies. That doesn't have much of a chance of ending well.

I had a feeling we'd be seeing ol' Maddow and Bowie after today's game.

the time had come.
the team has some major pitching issues.

Funny, I had just selected a Maddow photo to post.

Our pitching sucks, with a few healthy exceptions (Ubaldo, hopefully Cookie now, Biemel, anyone else? not that I can think of).

Hammel and Smitty combine for 4 innings in the series. Sweet guys. When does Street, Francis, and Buchholz come back?

This series in SF could get ugly, considering the pitching matchups.

today's game was a stark reminder of how the highs of games like last night (whoo-hoo! who got my WS tickets? I'm going to Swanky's. Twice in one day!) can be indelibly tempered by a rollercoaster loss that exposes some really deficient aspects of your favorite club.

We went to a game last night? And to Swankys? Seems like a long time ago.

My apologies to Manny Corpas. He's been pretty good. However, the problem with our bullpen is that it's really good when it doesn't matter. When the game is on the line, they've consistently faltered. Time for a line change, at least in that closer position. Somebody that can throw strikes please.

It would be nice to have a closer that doesn't consistently put on base runners.

Hurdle says, "Why not have a look at Shawn Chacon?"
